(1990) - 'A telling of some truth or fictitious event or connected sequence of events, recounted by a narrator to a narrative (although there may be more than one of each... a narrative will consist of a set of events (the story) recounted in a process of narration (or discourse), which the events are selected and arranged in a particular order (the plot) Bordwell and Thompson (1993:065) - Narrative as 'a chain of events in a cause-effect relationship. They identify 3 core components of narrative; time, space, and causation. Key terms: Story - what it is, material available to the narrator, letting users use their imagination (diagetic material) Plot - how it is told Order - chronological events or not i.e. pulp fiction, reservoir dogs.  ACE Recruitment 8/10/20 Myers Briggs personality test: My results said I am a 'Consul ESFJ'. A factor of this personality type is that I like to help others. This suggest that I would work well in a team. Others skills are having a strong sense of duty, good at connecting with others, loyal and strong practical skills. Weaknesses include being sensitive to criticism, need emotional feedback to feel satisfied in their line of work and being too needy because they want to be valued. However, the site says that these are mostly cheerleaders and quarterbacks, People who like the spotlight. This is not me at all, but the part where it states analytical careers are often too dull does relate to me. So I retook the test and got protagonist ENFJ-A/ENFJ-T. Who are likeable, creative, underestimate themselves, hardworking, reliable and eager to help.  28/9/20 Types of games: Strategy - like simulations, these attempt to capture a sense of realism, they are mainly turn-based as opposed to real-time - i.e. worms, Pokémon Sport - these simulate the playing of sports but with management elements beyond the game itself - i.e. FIFA Fighting - these tend to be head to head fighting games - mortal kombat, street fighter Adventure - this tends to emphasise on physical challenged using hand-eye coordination and reaction time - i.e. Indiana Jones Puzzle - i.e. Tetris, sudoku Dance/rhythm -these have timed elements synced to music, many require a specialised controller - i.e rhythm paradise, just dance Survival horror i.e. cod zombies, rage FPS (First person shooter) - these are a sub-genre to shooter but these are real-time fast-paced action games.
